Sophie is a distinguished senior sustainability executive with an impressive track record spanning over 20 years. Her expertise has been instrumental in steering global manufacturing and retail sectors toward sustainable outcomes through transformative leadership roles in supply chain, corporate affairs, and sustainability.

As the Chief Sustainability Officer at International Paper (IP), Sophie has crafted and executed IP's sustainability strategy, seamlessly integrating it with the company's business processes and strategies. This effort has not only advanced IP's commitment to sustainable forestry, but also, solidified its standing as a frontrunner in this realm among government bodies, NGOs, academics, customers, and investors. 

Previously she spent seven years at Ikea Group most recently as Global Forestry Manager - Supply Chain, where she started upon earning her Master of Forestry from Yale School of the Environment.

In addition to her role at IP, Sophie contributes her expertise as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Forest Foundation, an Advisory Board member for the Center for Business and Environment at Yale (CBEY), and as co-chair of the Forest Solutions Group at the WBCSD.
