Kathy has worked with Shannon on multiple occasions over the last decade, from giving her resumé a refresh to recruiting her own replacement.

The challenge:

Shannon and I have been working together for around 10 years now. The first time I was looking for support with my resumé and LinkedIn profile. At Aramark we also hired Shannon to support our team in screening both resumés and doing phone screening interviews with a suite of candidates for a couple of jobs that we're hiring for. And then when I was leaving the company, having been there for 14 years, I was seriously invested in making sure that the programmes and practices that we had started and implemented really continued on. So I teed up Shannon to help with back filling the position.

The solution:

When we worked together on my resumé it gave me a bit of a jumpstart personally on the importance of networking, and tips and strategies on networking. But then having somebody like Shannon to help us screen candidates at Aramark, someone who knows the rules and knows the marketplace was super helpful in teeing up the top few candidates for us to then consider an interview.

The result:

There’s been lots of connections over the years. In fact, having worked with us to fill my position at Aramark, Shannon’s scope got even broader too, because the rest of our leadership team hired her for support on our global programme as well.
