Resilient leadership: How to avoid employee burn out

emotional intelligence leadership video - tips

Video Transcript:

Hello, it's Shannon from Walk of Life Leaders here today to talk to you from my office, WeWork in King's Cross London, about resiliency or being a resilient leader.

And why is this so important?

Well, 75% of professionals are experiencing burnout in their current jobs, and 50% of working millennials have left a job because of feeling stressed or burnt out. And only 2% of us are actually investing in ourselves, in our own personal development.

So there's a huge gap here somewhere.

And resilience is the ability to bounce back from periods of uncertainty or setbacks or stress that are going to be inherent in our everyday lives, especially in our culture of VUCA that exists now.

So I practice mindfulness three minutes a day just to be able to stay resilient. So I encourage you to stay tuned for part two of this vlog, where we're going to talk about how to practice mindfulness using your tongue.
